Groningen will provide overnight shelter on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for asylum seekers for whom there is no room in the reception center in Ter Apel. Mayor Roelien Kamminga received a request for this from Minister for Asylum Affairs Bart van den Brink. The shelter will be located in the Hanzeplaza convention center. It is not yet known how many asylum seekers will spend the night there; this depends on the influx, the municipality states.
