In an interview given by Minister of Immigration and Absorption Ofir Sofer to 103FM, he criticized the conduct of the Haredi coalition members. According to him, even the most minimal things in his opinion are not open to discussion with the Haredi parties. "This is a law whose sole purpose is mainly to gain time and then we will settle down. There is no intention to meet the goals," he said.
Those close to the Prime Minister claim that one of the considerations in setting the election date for him is the desire to have time to pass the laws concerning the judicial system. However, the chances of doing so by July are slim. In the meantime, the Haredim understand that this is their last chance to advance the draft exemption law.
