The Polish army will deploy 10,000 troops to help protect the security of critical infrastructure, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz announced on Wednesday. The military operation was announced after a weekend sabotage attack on a railway line that, among other things, transports weapons for Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russian aggression.
The Deputy Prime Minister announced that, similarly to the previous crisis, the recent flood, the Polish Armed Forces, including the Territorial Defense Forces, will patrol and support the efforts of other services to protect critical and transport infrastructure. He announced that approximately 10,000 soldiers will be deployed to this task.
