The left branch block is a disorder of the electrical conduction of the heart. A disorder to which Dr. Simon Calle, cardiologist at the UZ Gent, has just devoted a thesis rewarded by the Jacqueline Bernheim Prize. This one is awarded annually by the Heart Surgery Fund. He honors the best research that led to the deposit of a doctoral thesis carried out in a Belgian university structure by an author who did not reach the age of 40.
