Police implemented a two-lane contraflow traffic control system on the Cikampek Toll Road in Karawang, West Java, on Wednesday. The contraflow was implemented from kilometer 47 to kilometer 70 due to increased traffic volumes from Jakarta to the Cipali and Purbaleunyi toll roads.
The Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road experienced congestion during the 2026 homecoming traffic. Officials were forced to add contraflow lanes. The contraflow lanes were widened from the previous 2 lanes to 3 lanes at KM 48 to KM 66 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
