Brit death camp liberators 'retained my humanity' says Holocaust survivor, 94

Privates Harry Oakes, George Rodger and Bill Lawrie served in the British Army Film and Photographic Unit, formed in 1941 to create an official record of the British Army's role in World War II. But none of them had any idea what they would witness on Sunday, April 15, 1945, when the gates of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where Anne Frank had died just a few weeks earlier, opened before them.
