The Mauritanian government announced the annual ministerial holiday schedule, which will be divided this year in two consecutive instalments, to ensure continuity of government action and to keep pace with priority issues in the various ministerial sectors. The first batch of the ministerial holiday begins on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, immediately after the Council of Ministers meeting on Tuesday, 29 July, and lasts until Tuesday, 12 August 2025.
The Mauritanian presidency today published the ministerial holiday schedule in two instalments. Today, the Mauritanian government held its weekly meeting the day before its official date because half of the members of the government took office from next August's annual holiday.
At the end of the current month, members of the Government begin their annual two-week holidays; the first one included: the Chief Minister; the Mokhtar Ould Ajay; the Minister of Justice; and Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Shi.
