Draft Budget 2027 sent by the Government to Congress includes amendments to various aspects of the National Disability Emergency Act, which runs until 31 December 2026 and can be extended for one year, including amendments to the disability pension scheme, the system of allowances and health coverage guarantees for persons receiving non-contributory disability pensions.
The expenditure project for 2027 eliminates several precepts of the 2025 standard and proposes changes that reduce coverage and funding of benefits for persons with disabilities.
The draft budget repeals key articles of the disability emergency that the opposition seeks to extend. Next Wednesday opinions will be signed.
The bill does not repeal the rule that Congress sanctioned and ratified, but amends key articles on pensions and benefit financing. The Disability Forum warns that it also eliminates the principle of a single tariff for providers.
