Milei Enacts, but suspends enforcement of disability law
Buenos Aires, Sept 22 (Prensa Latina) The government of Javier Milei enacted the Disability Emergency Law, which Argentine society has long demanded. However, it suspended its implementation, arguing that Congress must first define the sources of funding.
He asked the legislature to include the corresponding items in the budget that would allow the law to be enforced.Until that does not happen, he considers it "suspended in its execution."

The measure for agriculture was branded as "exchange populism", for its objective of "resigning the surplus" to reach the mid-term elections with a stabilized dollar. Meanwhile, Congress is asked to report on how to finance assistance to the disabled.
In an unprecedented fact in democracy, the Executive published on Monday in the Official Gazette the promulgation of the emergency in disability, but in the same decree (681/25) it returned the law to Congress and called on it to “include the corresponding items in the National Budget that allow the execution of the law”.
The National Government promulgated Law 27.793, which declared the emergency in disability until December 31, 2026. However, the application of the law was suspended until Congress determined the sources of funding and included the corresponding items in the national budget.
