The first joint military exercise between Serbia and NATO began at the "Jug" base and at the "Borovac" training ground near Bujanovac, in which about 600 members of the Serbian Army and the armed forces of Italy, Romania and Turkey were engaged until May 23. The tactical exercise called "NATO - Serbia" is organized by the Ground Forces Command and the NATO Joint Forces Command from Naples, the Ministry of Defense announced.
The manoeuvres are a continuation of the "mutual, concrete and transparent cooperation" between Serbia and NATO under the Partnership for Peace programme, announced to the Ministry of Defence.
