In early 2025, 11.5 billion was distributed among sports clubs in a secret government decision to prepare for the Olympics. Fradi received nearly ten times as much as the other clubs – whose athletes, by the way, had much better results at the last Olympics.

In a secret resolution, the government decided on a total of 11.45 billion forints in extraordinary sports support, of which 7.2 billion forints went to Ferencvárosi Torna Club. The FTC led by Gábor Kubatov thus received more than half of the total amount, which is approximately eight to nine times the amount allocated to other clubs.
Citing a source, Telex wrote that the government actually wanted to give money to the FTC, but to avoid any confusion, the other clubs also received it. The portal collected the clubs' 2024 performance scores from the National Federation of Sports Organizations (SOSZ), which revealed that BVSC - in whose colors Hubert Kós won in Paris - was the most successful (82.48), ahead of Honvéd (70.13) and Újpest (60).
