Prague recently decided to purchase Leopard 2A8 tanks as the ultimate solution for its armored forces. It was assumed that 44 tanks and 17 specialized vehicles would be purchased as part of the basic order, with another 14 tanks and two support vehicles as options. The Czechs estimated the program's cost at CZK 52 billion, or approximately $2.5 billion or PLN 9 billion.
