The Cuban Parliament approved on Friday the Civil Registry Law, a norm that updates in a comprehensive way the legal regime linked to the identification and certification of facts and acts related to the civil status of the persons. Havana, Jul 18 (RHC) The National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (ANPP-Parliament) approved on Friday the Civil Registry Law, which makes it possible to simplify and make more comprehensive the procedures of registration of the population, another moment in the intense legislative and legal schedule of the current X Legislature.
On Friday, the Cuban Parliament passed a new Civil Registry Law that allows people to change their gender in their identity documents, as well as to register de facto unions and replace the surname in cases of victims of gender-based violence.
