Likud lawmaker to be indicted pending hearing after revealing identity of Shin Bet agent
Israeli lawmaker Tally Gotliv, a member of Netanyahu's Likud party, wrote on social media that the husband of Shikma Bressler, one of the leaders of the anti-Netanyahu gov't protest movement, is employed by the Shin Bet security service
MK Tali Gottlieb informed the Attorney General that she will not appear for the hearing - she may be able to use her immunity to prevent the Attorney General from criminally prosecuting her | This is how it will be done
The prosecutor's office has notified Gottlieb of its intention to prosecute her after she published confidential information regarding the identity of a Shin Bet employee without permission. The MK clarifies: "I will not stand trial." According to her, publishing an identity is part of her job: "That's what my parliamentary immunity is for."
Gottlieb is suspected of violating the Shin Bet law, after revealing the identity of an Shin Bet agent when she wrote online that Shikma Bresler's partner is employed by the organization. Gottlieb: "Just as I did not appear for questioning, I do not intend to appear for the hearing"
