Texas sheriff opens probe into DeSantis’s migrant flight to Martha’s Vineyard
Summary by Ground News
Bexar County, Texas, Sheriff Javier Salazar, an elected Democrat, opened an investigation on Monday into Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) controversial transport of approximately 50 migrants from San Antonio, Texas, to Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. The White House has since called the move a political stunt. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said he believes there is criminal activity involved. He said investigators had so far only spoken to attorneys representing some of the migrants and did not name any potential suspects who might face charges. He also did not mention Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a news conference.
