‘Waterproof’ Tesla Cybertruck sinks in harbor after botched Jet Ski launch
A Tesla Cybertruck sank in Ventura Harbor while launching a Jet Ski, prompting a multi-agency rescue response.
Multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and Ventura Fire Department, coordinated the retrieval to prevent battery fire risks during the operation.
Carson Shevitz, captain of TowBoatUS Ventura, confirmed the truck's accidental movement into the water as the driver reversed instead of going forward.
The recovery took about 30 minutes, and the driver safely exited before full submersion.
The events took place at the beginning of the week in the port of the Californian city of Ventura, near Los Angeles, United States. Fortunately, no victims are to be deplored.
