Temporary relief for Puvirnituq's water woes, while issues persist in other Nunavik villages

After months of disruption, residents in Puvirnituq have a temporary solution to its frozen water pipe problems. But some other Nunavik villages are still dealing with similar issues.

Nunavik, Que. – A solution is in sight for a lack of available water in some of the region’s villages where pipes had frozen during a harsh winter season. A doctor a local hospital reported she had to rely on bottled water to wash her hands. The frozen pipes have meant 70,000 litres of water have been delivered daily to the hospital. A temporary pipeline is expected to be operational by the middle of May. CBC News report
