Telio inmate telephone system launches at the coast to aid rehab and cut state costs

Inmates at the Swakopmund and Walvis Bay correctional facilities will now be able to communicate with the outside world using the Telio one-way phone system. The programme was launched at the two institutions on Friday. Access to the Telio phone will allow inmates greater contact with the outside world while simultaneously reducing telephone costs for the state.
