Teesside Lidl store closes for good leaving shelves bare and fridges empty

Summary by Ground News
The Allensway store hosted its final day on March 1, with signs confirming the closing date outside. As of 3pm on Friday, the doors were shut, staff were seen collecting and putting away items, and the once-packed shelves were now empty of produce. No reason has been given for the closure of the supermarket - although the chain has opened two new stores in Stockon in the last three years.
