Teen sensation takes WBBL hat-trick

On Saturday night, 16-year-old Caoimhe Bray claimed a WBBL hat-trick and finished 4-15, helping the Sixers to a 24-run derby win at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney.
The hat-trick spanned two overs, with a wicket on the last ball of Caoimhe Bray's second over and the first two of her next over; Erin Burns completed the decisive catch at point, and teammates only learned of it from the ground announcer.
Sophie Dunkley top-scored with 43 while 18-year-old debutante Lucy Finn made 49 not out in a losing cause, and Maitlan Brown was also effective with 2-18.
The 16-year-old is also the Junior Matildas goalkeeper and hit the winning runs as a 15-year-old on her WBBL debut last year, and Bray said it's "pretty crazy & I didn't realise."
The Sixers will wait on scans for New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr, who injured her quad in the warm-up, while earlier at Drummoyne Oval the Hobart Hurricanes beat Brisbane Heat via DLS by 16 runs after the target rose to 125.
