American tariffs on dozens of countries will come into effect next Wednesday as scheduled, although several deals could still be worked out before then, President Donald Trump confirmed Friday.
July 9th is the deadline for countries to reach trade agreements with the US, threatening Trump with 70% tariffs if they do not materialize.
Next week is the deadline for US President Donald Trump to delay his own 50% tariff on all imports from the European Union (EU). Trade talks between Washington and Brussels are not yet over, but Trump has already announced that the higher tariffs will take effect in August.
