Tanker driver dies after Wednesday Amtrak crash near Guadalupe; Hwy. 1 closed for repairs

The driver of a tanker-trailer that collided with an Amtrak passenger train on Wednesday afternoon died later at a local hospital, according to a Thursday morning release from the California Highway Patrol.
