Madison County Water Department Schedules Temporary Outage on Tuesday
TAMPA, JUL 21 – Repairs to a water main break have prompted a lane closure and precautionary advisory impacting local businesses and residents, with water safety testing underway, officials said.
- Starting today, July 21, 2025 at 9 AM the Tampa Water Department closed the outside northbound lane of South 50th Street between South 20th and South 24th Avenue.
- Regional District of North Okanagan is issuing the advisory while sampling and testing the water main to ensure safety.
- The Tampa Water Department also noted schedule modifications may be necessary as repairs progress, with barricades and signs directing traffic, motorists advised to use caution.
- The Tampa Water Department anticipates work will finish and traffic will return by 4 PM on Wednesday, July 23, and it has expressed appreciation for the public’s patience.
- When service resumes properties may face reduced water pressure, discolouration or air, and all work schedules depend on weather conditions.
