Sejm Speaker Szymon Hołownia announced that he has returned two of the five presidential initiatives to the Chancellery of the President for amendment due to formal deficiencies. These include draft laws on aid for Ukrainian citizens and personal income tax.
"I declare with all my strength that I will treat all the bills that the President sends to the Sejm exactly the same as all the bills that have been submitted to the Sejm: whether they are parliamentary or government bills," said Marshal Szymon Hołownia.
"There will be no freezing of presidential bills until the end of my term. Under my predecessor, two presidential bills were placed in the freezer. This will not happen while I am the Speaker of the Sejm," Szymon Hołownia assured at a press conference. The politician also pointed out that some presidential bills contain shortcomings that prevent further processing.
