UBS economists have revised upwards their estimates for Swiss gross domestic product (GDP) growth for the current year. However, they are more pessimistic about next year due to the threat of US tariffs.
Swiss GDP grew by 0.8% on a quarterly basis, double its average quarterly long-term growth rate and its largest increase since the first quarter of 2023. But after the US rush on Swiss products before tariffs, uncertainty is gaining.
