Faced with frequent problems and repeated incivilities, the Swiss municipality of Porrentruy decided to temporarily prohibit non-residents from accessing its municipal swimming pool, mainly targeting neighbouring French citizens.
Starting this Friday, as a result of "inappropriate behaviour" and "divility", the outdoor pool is reserved for persons of Swiss nationality, holders of an establishment permit and holders of a valid Swiss work permit.
In the Swiss municipality of Porrentruy (Pruntrut) in the canton of Jura, new access rules for the outdoor swimming pool will apply from 4 July. In the future, only Swiss nationals as well as persons residing or working in Switzerland will be allowed to visit the bath.
