Suspicious package in Holyoke caused evacuation Thursday

A suspicious packaged caused those living on James Street in Holyoke to have to evacuate Thursday, the Holyoke Fire Department said.At about 11 p.m., the Holyoke Fire Department responded to a report of a suspicious package in the area of James Street and Main Street. Out of an abundance of caution the area was evacuated “until it could be determined what was in the package,” officials said.
