A 27-year-old Nazareth resident was arrested on suspicion of defrauding dozens of bank customers using a phishing method. Hundreds of thousands of shekels were stolen, and millions of dollars in damage was attempted.
According to the suspicion, he defrauded more than 70 customers and tried to embezzle millions of shekels. The suspect used to send them messages claiming that they should update their details on the site. When they entered the link, they revealed their personal information to him. Two other suspects were arrested with him, and they will be brought to a hearing to extend their detention.
