LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, JUL 15 – Guy House targeted family members of his ex-girlfriend in a shooting rampage before a scheduled domestic violence hearing, killing two and injuring three, police said.
- Guy House, 47, carried out a shooting spree at a Baptist church in Lexington, resulting in the deaths of two women and injuries to several others.
- House had a domestic violence hearing scheduled for Monday and reportedly targeted his ex's family, although the hearing was not related to the mother of his children.
- House shot a Kentucky State Police officer during a traffic stop close to Lexington’s airport, escaped by stealing a vehicle, and subsequently fired shots at the church before being fatally shot by responding officers.
- The shooting killed 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs and critically injured two men and a trooper, who remains in stable condition, amid ongoing investigations.
