A human rights and peace activist nicknamed the "Martin Luther King of the Middle East," the "doctor of Gaza" Izzeldin Abuelaish lost three of his daughters to an Israeli shell on January 16, 2009. From his exile in Canada, he advocates for reconciliation between Israel and Palestine. A documentary based on his book, Je ne haïrai point (I Will Not Hate) (Robert Laffont, 2011), is released in theaters Wednesday.
