School reports after an explosion in Rotterdam's schoolyard: 'Fellow students and colleagues put at risk'

A student of the Guido de Brès reformatory secondary school caused an explosion in the schoolyard in Rotterdam. How could a fun-filled “crazy day” get so terribly out of hand? Those involved look back on what preceded the explosion and the flames.

The fire at the riverside school was confirmed to Iltalehen, but there was no further comment on the matter. A passenger car burst into flames at Jokivarre Primary School in Vantaa on Friday morning. A video posted by a reader of the evening newspaper shows how the flames flare up larger in a car in the school car park. A few adults walk in the courtyard while schoolchildren head indoors.

A student who caused an explosion at the Guido de Brès location of Driestar-Wartburg in Rotterdam has to go to another school to take his exams. He is no longer welcome at his own school.
