Staff at Fedasil reception centers are going on strike today starting at 11 a.m. This was announced by the socialist trade union ACOD. "In response to recent events, deteriorating working conditions, the announced closure of federal centers, and the threat of dismissal of a staff member, we have filed a strike notice," the statement reads.
Fedasil's employees stopped work for an hour this Tuesday in asylum centres across the country, confirmed union delegate André Gilles (ACOD) to the Belga Agency.
