The ancestors of the Japanese people, who are believed to have crossed the sea from Taiwan to Okinawa about 30,000 years ago during the Paleolithic Age, are believed to have strategically navigated against the Kuroshio Current, according to a report published in a US science journal on the 25th by a team led by Professor Yosuke Kaifu of the University Museum of the University of Tokyo.
