A 33-year-old man was sentenced this Wednesday in Strasbourg for a racist attack on an Algerian. He had cut his throat with a cutter.

At the opening of the hearing on Tuesday 27 January, Florian Duplouis, tried for attempted racist murder after having slit the throat of an Algerian on 4 May 2024, refused to appear in the accused's box, wishing to change his lawyer. The Bas-Rhin assize court sent a commissioner of justice ordering him to appear. The trial, which began with three hours late, shed light on the victim's life.
