Netflix Teases 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85' Animated Series
The animated spinoff set in Hawkins during winter 1985 features a new voice cast and explores paranormal mysteries between Stranger Things seasons 2 and 3.
- Netflix unveiled Stranger Things: Tales From '85 with a first-look teaser and images on Stranger Things Day , confirming the animated series will debut in 2026.
- The series creators Matt Duffer, co-creator, and Ross Duffer, co-creator, said animation was an early idea to expand the Stranger Things universe and evoke an '80s cartoon feeling, giving storytellers no limits.
- The production team confirmed Eric Robles will serve as showrunner and executive producer with Flying Bark Productions, featuring Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Luca Diaz as Mike, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Elisha Williams as Lucas, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.
- Set in the winter of 1985, the series follows Hawkins, Indiana heroes battling new monsters and unraveling a paranormal mystery, with concept art revealing a massive creature and an animated Upside Down.
