The Superior Military Court (STM) confirmed the conviction of an Army major for disobedience in the political campaign. Read it in Gazeta do Povo.

The Superior Military Court (STM) upheld the sentence of Army Major João Costa Araújo to more than two years in prison for disobedience, a crime provided for in the Military Penal Code. Araújo was preemptively arrested in May 2022, after using his Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profiles to launch himself as a pre-candidate for federal congressman and to support Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for re-election.
