State funding proposed to preserve Springfield mansion

A proposal for the state to help preserve the Horace Drew Mansion in Springfield is one of the first to be filed for the 2026 legislative session. Republican Rep. Wyman Duggan of Jacksonville, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, is proposing that $350,000 be allocated for the effort.
