State bureau finds fraud, 5 GOP gov candidates short signatures

Michigan's elections bureau says five Republican candidates for governor failed to file enough valid nominating signatures and shouldn't qualify for the August primary. Gubernatorial candidates Donna Brandenburg, Michael Brown, James Craig, Michael Markey and Perry Johnson did not file enough signatures. A total of 19 candidates did not have enough signatures, including judge candidates and four U.S. Representative candidates.
