Stagecoach Music Festival Temporarily Evacuated Due to Extreme Winds
Goldenvoice evacuated thousands after severe weather, then reopened gates and extended the schedule by more than an hour, officials said.
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Stagecoach Country Music Festival organizers evacuated the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, after high winds prompted an emergency shutdown of the venue.
The National Weather Service had issued a wind advisory for the Coachella Valley, warning of westerly winds peaking Saturday night with gusts reaching up to 65 mph through mountain passes.
Massive screens across the site displayed "Emergency Evacuation" alerts, instructing approximately 75,000 guests to exit the venue; many attendees reported the atmosphere remained calm despite the sudden disruption.
Reopening gates around 9:37 p.m., organizers announced "We're back in the saddle" and posted updated set times for headliners Lainey Wilson and Pitbull extending the festival until 1 a.m.
The three-day event is scheduled to conclude Sunday, April 26, 2026, with Post Malone set to close out the festival's final day despite Saturday's disruption.
