St. Richard of Wyche was born around 1197 in Droitwich (then called Wyche), England. Orphaned young, he worked on his brother’s farm before pursuing studies at Oxford, Paris, and Bologna. Known for his humility, intelligence, and devotion to the Church, he became Chancellor of Oxford University and later Chancellor to the Archbishop of Canterbury, St. Edmund of Abingdon.
