St. Joseph Commissioners give major boost to residential, commercial development proposed downtown

A $57.4 million mixed use residential and commercial property proposed for downtown St. Joseph has received a big boost from city commissioners. On Monday, commissioners approved a special use permit for The Marquette on Lake Boulevard to stand 25 taller than current rules allow. They also approved a brownfield plan for the project.
