Sri Lanka cuts petrol to Rs299 a litre, diesel to Rs283

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has cut fuel prices by midnight August 31, under a pricing formula, reports said. Octane 92 petrol was cut by 06 rupees to 299 rupees from 305 rupees. Octane 95 petrol was kept unchanged at 341 rupees. Auto diesel was cut by 6 rupees to 283 rupees. Super diesel was cut by 12 rupees to 325 rupees to 313 rupees. Kerosene was kept unchanged at 185 rupees. (Colombo/Sept01/2025)
