A 25-year-old Springfield man who drowned in Becket Quarry earlier this month has been identified as Rainiely Meteo. Meteo was swimming across the quarry with a woman sometime before 5:30 p.m. Friday, according to a statement from the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office. He began to struggle and quickly went under the water, officials said.
