Spelthorne Borough Council says it has finally received a “brief response” from the Home Office regarding Stanwell Hotel.

It’s after the authority was told in the summer that the site would be taken over by the government to house male asylum seekers. Spelthorne’s councillors have repeatedly voiced opposition to the move and wrote to the Prime Minister and Home Secretary.
