An 18-year-old driver is facing some serious charges after Ontario Provincial Police say he was caught travelling more than double the speed limit on the Queen Elizabeth Way highway in Oakville, just west of Toronto, on July 2. According to police, the driver was recorded doing 214 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. Officers allege the teen attempted to race the police vehicle when they tried to pull him over.
