Spanish community warned about scams related to fake vehicle plates

Hispanics in Central Florida are targeting scammers in terms of temporary vehicle plates, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO). OCSO reported an increase in the number of drivers being issued fake temporary vehicle plates. “These fake plates are often obtained through advertising on social media platforms, where scammers impersonate a car dealer and provide the fake temporary plate online,” local authorities explained.
