According to REN, the phenomenon will cause a generation loss of 560 MW, which represents about 8.5% of consumption and 23% of the production of the National Electricity System. To mitigate the impact, it will be necessary to allocate additional reserves with water generation (dams) and/or thermal generation (natural gas power plants).
