SEOUL, Dec 5 — South Korean prosecutors today banned ex-defence minister Kim Yong-hyun from leaving the country over his role in a martial law declaration that plunged the country into turmoil, Yonhap news agency said. “The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office has imposed a travel ban on the former minister,” Yonhap said.
The minister is said to have advised the president to impose martial law. However, the move plunged the country into chaos. Now Kim Yong Hun is resigning.
