The province of South Holland is considering giving financial aid to entrepreneurs around the Valkenburgse Meer near Leiden, which has been closed for weeks. An emergency ordinance has been in effect on and around the recreational lake since early April, after more than 200 metres of the bank had collapsed. Because the quay has been unstable since then, the municipality of Katwijk decided to close the area.
