South Alsace. Forty-Two Months in Prison for the Graveyard Robber

This 20-year-old Ludovician, sometimes accompanied by an accomplice, had found an easy way to make money: to smear the cemeteries of the region to steal ornaments and funerary objects in brass, copper or bronze. The whole was sold to a scrapman. The twenty-year-old was sentenced to forty-two months in prison by the Mulhouse court and imprisoned.
